Robbin · Senior Backend Analyst / Team Lead

I build small, reliable services and run them in production.

I design the API, own the data model, ship the container and keep it healthy afterwards. Everything on this domain is my own work, running live.

What I do day to day

Senior Backend Analyst / Team Lead, working on enterprise .NET systems.

  • Lead a backend team: plan and prioritise the work, review designs and code, mentor engineers and keep delivery unblocked.
  • Analyse and design: turn business requirements into ASP.NET Core APIs, SQL Server data models and integration specs.
  • Run production: own releases and monitoring, triage incidents and drive root-cause analysis through to a lasting fix.
  • Modernise legacy systems: move long-lived C# / WinForms applications and SQL workloads onto modern .NET and containers without breaking what depends on them.
  • C#
  • ASP.NET Core
  • WinForms
  • SQL Server
  • T-SQL
  • Docker
  • CI/CD

Projects

FileHost

Upload any file through an API and get a public HTTPS link back. One Go binary on SQLite, with a REST API, a web dashboard, versioned mutable files, signed webhooks, an MCP server for AI agents and an Android app.

  • Go
  • SQLite
  • OpenAPI
  • MCP
  • Docker
  • Expo

Writing

I built a type-safe SQL library for Bun — no ORM, no codegen, just SQL

dev.to · 22 May 2026

Building squn: a lightweight, type-safe SQL library for Bun. Queries are tagged templates whose values always become bound parameters, so SQL injection is structurally impossible — one API across SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MSSQL, with no schema file or code generation.

  • SQL

Skills

All of these are in use in FileHost or on this page.

Backend

  • Go and stdlib net/http; REST API design with OpenAPI
  • Host-scoped routing, one error envelope everywhere

Data

  • SQLite in WAL mode with embedded migrations
  • Quota accounting inside a single write transaction

Architecture

  • Single-binary services with lint-enforced package layering
  • Transactional outbox for webhook delivery

DevOps

  • Multi-stage Docker images, non-root, health-checked
  • Dokploy, Traefik and Cloudflare on a single VPS

Quality

  • golangci-lint, race-detector tests, acceptance smoke scripts
  • CI gates every image on a container smoke test

Security

  • API keys, one-time-code login, OAuth for agents, signed webhooks
  • Strict CSP and origin isolation for user uploads

AI

  • Exposing an API to AI agents via the Model Context Protocol
  • Agent-assisted development guided by written conventions

Mobile

  • Android app in Expo / React Native and TypeScript
  • Share-to-upload from any other app

Open to senior backend and platform roles. The quickest way to see how I work is the FileHost source and its commit history.
